An interesting book with some useful suggestions to follow up, but I'm amazed at one inclusion: Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness may be a great novel, but Conrad wasn't a Catholic (except by birth) and the book isn't particularly on Catholic themes. As alternatives I would suggest patrick White's Riders in the Chariot, or R.H.Benson's Lord of the World.
